When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my world changed instantly. Although my doctor was confident we caught it early, the road ahead felt overwhelming. My faith, family, and friends became my greatest sources of strength, helping me face each step with courage.

I was also blessed to have Donna, a CanCare volunteer and longtime restaurant guest, by my side. Years before my diagnosis, I supported her during her own breast cancer journey—offering kindness and encouragement when she needed it most. I never imagined that one day, she would return that kindness to me. Her support, understanding, and reassurance showed me that there is life—and hope—after cancer.

Throughout my journey, I met many "angels" who lifted me up, from hospital staff who welcomed me with open arms to customers who shared their own stories of survival. Their kindness inspired me to give back and support others facing cancer.

Today, I continue to share hope with anyone going through a similar experience. At the restaurant, I meet people facing cancer and offer them encouragement, prayers, and a reminder that they are never alone—just as others did for me.
