Our 1-1 support services are unaffected by the current health risk as most support is provided remotely by email.
Support services are now also available through our email: [email protected]. Email Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 6 p.m. and a cancer survivor or caregiver will respond.
One-on-one emotional support allows for cancer patients or loved ones to connect with a volunteer survivor or caregiver to discuss their diagnosis and receive general emotional support. Support volunteers are matched with clients by cancer type, treatment method, life stage, age, and gender.
“Being matched with Leonard was the best thing that ever happened to me. He became my go-to guy throughout my entire cancer journey. Leonard was someone that I felt very comfortable with – if I had to cry, I could cry with him. He helped me survive cancer, and today, Leonard is family to me.”
Michael, Acute Myeloid Leukemia Survivor, CanCare Former Client, CanCare Volunteer
