We invite you to join us as we celebrate CanCare’s 24th Annual National Cancer Survivors Day Luncheon on Friday, May 11, 2018 at The Westin Houston, Memorial City from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.  Each year, CanCare hosts this inspirational luncheon to celebrate cancer survivorship.

We are excited to announce our Luncheon Co-Chairs are Mr. Leonard Donaldson and Mr. Michael Wiesenthal. To hear their incredible stories of survivorship and friendship click here.

The luncheon keynote speaker will be Pastor Suzette Caldwell, who currently serves as the Associate Pastor for Windsor Village United Methodist Church and is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for The Prayer Institute. Pastor Caldwell was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, her cancer story, which will highlight how she overcame this devastating disease, is nothing short of inspirational and a story that you don’t want to miss hearing live!

Our Luncheon Honoree will be Mr. Titus H. Harris, III, former CanCare Board of Directors (2012-2017) and CanCare’s Fund Development Committee past chair.

Over the past 27 years, CanCare’s message of Hope has made a tremendous difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families.  CanCare has trained more than 1,700 volunteers who are survivors of more than 75 different types of cancer. These selfless individuals have provided one-on-one support to thousands of people and have made over 127,000 visits to patients and families in hospitals and treatment centers. We hope you will consider being part of this special occasion.

Would you like to honor a loved one who has been affected by cancer at CanCare’s 24th Annual National Cancer Survivors Day Luncheon Candle Lighting Ceremony? If so, please consider a $10 tribute donation.

Tribute names will be printed in the Luncheon programs and also read aloud by each attendee during the Luncheon’s Candle Lighting Ceremony as a commemorative candle is lit. This is a very special moment for so many and everyone in the room and allows us to take a moment to honor and remember those who have battled cancer.

For each tribute donation, CanCare will mail a Candle of Hope acknowledgement card to those being honored or to the appropriate relative or friend.
