Real People, Real Stories
Mesothelioma cancer survivor
Greg Barnhill, survivor of melanoma of the eye and epithelioid mesothelioma cancers, has been an inspirational CanCare volunteer since 2008. He has personally supported more than 18 clients seeking the compassion and understanding of someone who truly identifies with their cancer experience. His story is featured in the book “From Incurable to Incredible: Survivors Who Beat the Odds,” written by Tami Boehmer, and CanCare has received specific requests from individuals to be matched with Greg for one-on-one support after reading his triumphant tale.
Greg is a Lifeline Chaplaincy volunteer and visits cancer patients at St. Luke’s Hospital. He serves as an elder at Cinco Ranch Church of Christ and remains very active in the congregation.
